Better in-home care for regional and rural South Australia

More in-home care for rural SA is desperately needed.

Growing up in SA, one of my favourite go-to places is the Riverland. Camping out by the river and an open campfire has always been a place to relax and chill. LOVE IT! So when the opportunity came up for KompleteCare to provide in-home care for rural SA, of course, I was on board.

The reality is that in-home care for rural SA and surrounding areas tends to be few and far between. Those operating tend to be small and commonly run by community-based organisations or state or local government providers.

People in rural and remote areas are more likely to use in-home care services than residential aged care. Hence, the demand for government-subsidised Home Care Packages is high. Most people in country areas receive Level 2 packages, with relatively few Level 4 services available in remote and very remote parts of Australia.

As rural and remote areas find it challenging to attract and retain a skilled labour force, delivering high standards of in-home care in these areas can take time and effort. Compared to urban areas. Rural areas such as the York Peninsula along the coast, the Copper Triangle, Quorn, Pt Augusta and Whyalla are all straining to find companies that can provide assistance.

For this reason, I am very excited that we have opened a KompleteCare office in Berri and are mere weeks away from opening our new office in Murray Bridge, SA.

We hope that by bringing our care to these remote and surrounding areas, we can offer the communities more choice and control over their in-home care and provide them with more opportunities to continue living in their own homes for longer, as well as assisting them in getting access to the support and aids that can be difficult to source locally.

Our KompleteCare team have years of experience in NDIS and Home Care Package management. They will go above and beyond to advocate for our clients and their needs to ensure they get the absolute most out of their funding and care.

We hope to assist in bridging the gap between those who need care and recruit those who provide a high standard of care in their community and home. We do this by offering paid training to all our staff to upskill themselves and provide more specialised and client-focused services.

At KompleteCare, we are committed to ensuring quality care is available to all our Australian communities, no matter their location, and this is how KompleteCare puts its heart into every home nationwide.
